EPEFCU is evolving in order to better serve you!

 

We are pleased to announce that we will soon undergo an important change that will mark a milestone in our credit union's history. El Paso Employees Federal Credit Union will soon be adopting a new name.

 

As you may well know this year marks our 75th year anniversary and we are very proud of our history and heritage. Much has transpired in our 75 year history and the complexion of our credit union continues to change. We feel that a name change is needed in order to better describe the evolution of our financial institution. We are proud to announce to our members our new name-Evolve Federal Credit Union. As an institution, we have evolved immensely, changing the way we conduct business in order to provide you with better products and services, and we wanted our new name to reflect this new direction.

 

In the past, we have found that the El Paso Employees Federal Credit Union's name has created some confusion as to who can join our credit union. Over the years we have expanded our membership to include anyone who lives, works or worships in El Paso County. However, our name continues to give the perception that our membership is restricted only to those who work for the city of El Paso.

 

Our change is not a result of a merger. In fact, El Paso Employees Federal Credit Union continues to be one of the strongest and well capitalized financial institutions in El Paso and the entire Southwest. The decision to change the name of our credit union to Evolve Federal Credit Union stemmed from many months of research and evaluation under the leadership of our Board of Directors and executive team. Throughout the process we have conducted research with credit union members, community members and credit union staff.

 

Our members are and always will be the most important reason for our success. While our name may be changing, you have our commitment that our employees and the high level of personal service we extend to you will not change. The new name change will in no way affect the products and services we currently offer. Please be assured that your account numbers will remain the same and your debit card and checks will still be valid.

 

We will continue to keep you informed along the way as we move through this important change. We understand that you may have several questions regarding this announcement. Thank you again for your understanding and continued support as we move through this transformation.
