Shared Branching

Dear Tamara:
I have heard that as a member I am able to take advantage of Shared Branching. However, I’m not sure what it is all about and where to start looking for participating institutions. Could you please provide me with some more information?

Signed: Confused

Dear Confused:

Thank you for asking. There may be some confusion as to what Share Branching is all about and how it can benefit you as a member of EPEFCU. Whether you are on a business trip or on vacation, you will find a credit union ready to assist you thanks to the convenience of the shared credit union branching network.
This means that you can complete transactions on your account throughout the United States and even at other participating countries in the world.
Whatever your location, you can find participating credit unions with our online branch locator under our resources tab, or simply go to http://www.cuservicecenter.com. All you need to do is input an address or zip code and you will be directed to a branch nearest you from among a listing of 4,003 locations. In case you don’t have a computer available you can call 1-800-919-CUSC (2872).
There are a myriad of transactions you will be able to conduct at shared branch locations including:

  • Deposits
  • Withdrawals
  • Loan payments
  • Balance transfers
  • Purchasing Money Orders or Travelers cheques

I hope this information has helped. Thank you so much for your membership.

Tamara
